planemos Team Event 2025 – If you slow down, you lose.
Anyone who’s ever heard of downforce knows that it’s easy to go too far. Let’s go!
The idyllic town of St. Johann in beautiful Tyrol hosted a very special event this year. Just a few kilometers from what is arguably the world’s most famous downhill run, 20 intrepid automation pros thundered down the mountain. Whether in a mountain cart or on a downhill bike—this event pushed us all to our limits. Laughing until our sides ached was guaranteed.
Team planemos on the road – with a speed limit …
… Team Planemos Offroad – Pushing the Limits.
01 Team Challenge: Mountain Cart
These three-wheeled behemoths can reach a top speed of 60 km/h if you fully surrender to the thrill of speed and keep your fingers off the brakes. No sooner said than done. After a quick warm-up and a brief orientation, we tackled the challenging course. Key challenges: our inner demons, but also a few coworkers who let themselves be carried away by the downward momentum. The good news: Despite gradients of up to 10% and modest riding skills, we all made it back down to the valley safe and sound.

An experienced driver has it all under control—both physically and mentally: precise driving technique, the track profile memorized, the optimal braking point pre-programmed, and, of course, the courage to carry enough speed and momentum out of the turn. That’s how Peter, too, becomes a Mountain Cart legend.
Power? Not a chance! But the handling and power delivery are perfect. With enough weight and a steep enough incline, you can hit a whopping 60 on the slope here.
A lowered chassis for perfect aerodynamics and performance. Plus, a sturdy suspension system that leaves even the most treacherous potholes in the dust.
Sturdy, lightweight construction meets a robust chassis. If anything breaks here, it’ll be your bones.
02 Team Downhill – The slope loses—or maybe not.
There were actually still a few people out there with an adrenaline deficit. Without further ado, a few intrepid automation enthusiasts decided to go for the ultimate thrill. Downhill, hello; common sense, goodbye! The following scenes are not staged; our Almir wins the prize for the crash of the day.
What’s the difference between a bike and a cart? It can tip over. Despite all the warnings, we were able to push our limits here without a care in the world. The only thing better is flying…
”Falling is part of the process. Whether on the trail or in a project, what matters is getting back up together!

03 Mountain Hut Fun with Rausch and the Wilder Kaiser!
After this “hell of a ride,” we kicked off the laid-back part of our team event. Naturally, it was a lively, hearty, and incredibly cozy affair. Many great conversations, ideas, servings of Kaiserschmarren, and shots of schnapps later, we had once again experienced one of those unforgettable team events—and set the bar pretty high for next year.
