As one of ten pilot-companies, we point out the advantages of our region to specialists.
The Metropolitan Region has a lot to offer. Particularly for specialists, who benefit from short access routes and the versatile job offer with numerous technology-leading companies. Talks with companies showed that the Metropolitan Region of Nuremberg is often underestimated and this can primarily be ascribed to lack of information. “What can I do in my spare time here? Which contact persons and contact points are important for a successful start in the region?
We became involved in an initiative of the Metropolitan Region of Nuremberg, to enhance communication about attractiveness of our location to the outside world: the “WelcomeCard und WillkommensPaket” campaign.
As one of ten pilot companies, we promote our joined welcome offer, which is handed out to employees or potential candidates on recruiting-fairs or vocational schools. A valuable tool for staff retention, which also serves as an ambassador for our region’s diversity.
Attractiveness of the location is an important decision-making criterion for specialists.
Markus Lötzsch, Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce and specialist spokesman of the Economic and Infrastructure Forum of the Metropolitan Region, explains during the first presentation: “In future, in addition to the attractiveness of the employer, the attractiveness of the entire region will become increasingly decisive for applicants from near and far in their choice of job location. This is where the WillkommensPaket of the European Metropolitan Region of Nuremberg comes in, which supports companies in presenting themselves as part of a lively, exciting and dynamic region in Europe. ”
The WelcomeCard is the key to digital welcoming platforms of the Metropolitan Region “Leben & Arbeiten” (live and work) with plenty of useful information about the cultural and leisure offer. The WillkommensPaket can be individually filled and expanded with further welcome offers such as the EntdeckerPass, (discovery passport) give-aways, books, etc.
Thomas Bux, managing director of the planemos GmbH: “We take part because we are proud of our company location in the beautiful Metropolitan Region of Nuremberg. With the WillkommensPaket we want to convey our Franconian sense-of-home to new employees and arouse new specialists’ interest in our location. In addition, the welcome packages are a sign of appreciation to our new employees, which is very important to us. ”
The campaign was presented on 2 February 2017 at Nuremberg “Wirtschaftsrathaus” (economic council) together with representatives of the ten participating companies, IHK Nuremberg for Middle Franconia (Chamber of Industry and Commerce) and the Metropolitan Region of Nuremberg.
